Born, aged, suffered, died — the cycle shows all life in sight

*ทุกสิ่งกำเนิดนั้น สถิตสถานตั้งอยู่ไว้*
Tuk sing kam noet nan, sa thit sa than tang yu wai
All things that come to be are grounded where they must reside

*ถึงวันแตกสลาย ดับสิ้นไปไม่มั่นคง*
Thueng wan taek sa lai, dap sin pai mai man khong
Until the day they fall and fade, for nothing here will long abide

*จากเจ้าชายสุขล้นฟ้า ทิ้งทุกสิ่งมาเข้าป่าดง*
Jak jao chai suk lon fah, ting tuk sing ma khao pa dong
From a prince in skies of joy, he left it all for forest's shade

*ทิ้งอบายแห่งใหลหลง บำเพ็ญทุกรกิริยา*
Ting a bai haeng lai long, bam phen thuk ka ri ya
Left behind all tempting ways, embraced the pain with vows he made

*เข็ญกายจนหิวโหย ร่วงโรยทรุดโทรมเวทนา*
Khen kai jon hiw hoi, ruang roi srot som wet tha na
Starved his flesh and drained his strength, through torment's cold, relentless blade

*แล้วจึงได้รู้ว่า ไม่ใช่หนทางสว่างเลย*
Laew jeung dai ru wa, mai chai hon thang sa wang loei
Only then he saw the truth — that path brings not the light he prayed

*พระองค์ทรงค้นพบ การเวียนจบของจักรวาล*
Phra ong song khon phop, kan wian chop khong jak kra wan
He discovered life’s return — the cycle ends, the stars align

*หนทางที่จะว่ายผ่าน วัฏสงสารอันปลดปลง*
Hon thang tee ja wai phan, wat sa san an plot plong
Found a path to cross beyond — released from sorrow’s endless line

*สายพิณที่ดีดนั้น ถ้าปล่อยให้มันเริ่มหย่อนลง*
Sai pin tee deet nan, ta bploi hai man rerm yon long
If the harp string's slack and low, it loses tune, it won't be right

*ละเลยและลืมหลง จะคงสำเนียงเป็นพิณไหม*
La loei lae luem long, ja khong sam niang pen pin mai
If you neglect and let it go, will harmony still come to life?

*และสายพิณที่ตั้งขึง ถ้าบิดให้ตึงจนมากไป*
Lae sai pin tee tang khueng, ta bit hai tueng jon mak pai
And if you stretch the string too tight, it soon will snap beyond repair

*ถึงคราวดีดเล่นสาย คงขาดผึงไปในไม่นาน*
Thueng khrao deet len sai, khong khat phueng pai nai mai nan
When it's time to play the tune, it breaks apart with too much care

*พระองค์ทรงค้นพบ การเวียนจบของจักรวาล*
Phra ong song khon phop, kan wian chop khong jak kra wan

*หนทางที่จะว่ายผ่าน วัฏสงสารอันปลดปลง*
Hon thang tee ja wai phan, wat sa san an plot plong
Found a path to cross beyond — released from sorrow’s endless line

*หนทางแห่งพุทธะ คือหลีกลดละในโลภหลง*
Hon thang haeng Phut tha, khue leek lot la nai lop long
The Buddha’s path is letting go — of greed and craving from the soul

*และมิใช่อย่างฝุ่นผง ที่ปล่อยล่องลอยไปวันวัน*
Lae mi chai yang fun phong, tee bploi long loi pai wan wan
Not like dust that drifts away, through empty days without a goal

*หนทางแห่งพุทธะคือทางสายกลางอันเบิกบาน*
Hon thang haeng Phut tha khue thang sai klang an boek ban
The Buddha's way — the middle path, where joy and wisdom both unfold

*ให้อยู่กับคืนวัน คือปัจจุบันอันตื่นรู้*
Hai yu gap kuen wan, khue pat ju ban an tuen ru
To live with every night and day — awakened in the present whole
